Reed Accountancy are seeking a Senior Associate to join the expanding Business Services department of a Top 60 accounting firm. This role combines office-based and client-facing responsibilities, working in small teams under the supervision of a manager and partner. The position involves a balance of year-end and management accounts preparation, as well as drafting tax computations.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Production of financial statements with well-presented working papers, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Serve as a key client contact, providing advice and support on financial matters to a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Guide and review the work of trainees and junior team members for accuracy and completeness.
  • Preparation of VAT returns and management accounts.
  • Utilise accounting software and tools to streamline operations and reporting.
  • Handle ad hoc specialist assignments as they arise.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified ACA or ACCA.
  • Demonstrable experience in full accounts production from basic prime books and records to computerised accounting packages.
  • Ability to multi-task and work within budgets.
  • Proficiency with Sage and QuickBooks software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexible attitude with the ability to prioritise workloads.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Pro-Audit, CCH, and Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel software.
