Job Title: Operations Director

About Us:
Our client is a railway M&E engineering services provider who offers a range of depot and office design, construction, infrastructure and service products. Our focus is on client-oriented and tailor-made solutions for light rail, main-line and freight line railways.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Leadership: Take charge of operational delivery for contracts, projects, and services, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
2. Team Management: Lead, develop, and engage engineers to optimize performance and maintain high standards.
3. Supply Chain Management: Manage and develop the wider supply chain to ensure smooth operations and effective project delivery.
4. Helpdesk Management: Oversee operational support and services provided by helpdesk teams
5. Systems Development: Collaborate with the group to develop systems and infrastructure necessary for scalable business operations.
6. Client Relationship Management: Manage and cultivate client relationships, identifying and capitalizing on upsell opportunities to drive revenue growth.
7. Business Development Support: Provide support for business development initiatives, contributing insights and expertise to drive growth strategies.
8. Collaboration Development: Work to identify and develop collaboration opportunities across the group, fostering synergy and shared success.

Requirements:

  • Proven Electrical, M&E or similar background experience.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on building and maintaining relationships.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to drive innovation and change.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior management to achieve shared objectives.
