Job Title: Heavy Vehicle Technical Teacher

Location: Wolverhampton, UK

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 + Full Investment into Teaching qualifications

Job Type: Full-Time, 37 hours a week.

Our client is a leading private training provider in Wolverhampton, specializing in automotive education. With a reputation for delivering high-quality training, we are committed to equipping the next generation of automotive professionals with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the industry. They are now looking to expand the team with a passionate and experienced Heavy Vehicle Teacher.

Whether you are a seasoned Automotive teacher already, or an industry based candidate wanting to try something new. This client is open to candidates from all walks of life. The minimum requirement they have is a Level 3 or above technical / Mechanical qualification in Heavy Vehicle.

If you are new to teaching, your first few weeks will not be teaching, it may be training and development or shadowing teachers in a class to understand what this looks like.

Once confident your responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs in heavy vehicle mechanics and maintenance.
  • Provide practical instruction and demonstrations on heavy vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their qualifications.
  • Ensure all training adheres to industry standards and best practices.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the heavy vehicle industry and incorporate this knowledge into your teaching.
  • Collaborate with other trainers and staff to continually improve our training offerings.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in heavy vehicle mechanics or a related field. Level 3 qualification in Heavy vehicle is essential.
  • Relevant teaching or training qualifications (e.g., PGCE, Level 3 Award in Education and Training) or a willingness to work towards one.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students of varying skill levels.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in training.
  • Familiarity with current industry standards and practices.

  • Qualified Teacher salary: £36,000-£40,000
