Graduate Civil Engineer- Shrewsbury

My Client, a market leading, Hydrological Consultancy, which specialises in Flood Risk, Drainage, Hydrology and Hydrogeology, is searching for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join their Flood Risk and Drainage Team based in Shrewsbury.

This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join a friendly team of Engineers to complete Drainage Design Projects for Residential, Commercial and Industrial Development Projects for Housing Developers, Local Authorities and Private Sector Clients.

As a Graduate Drainage Engineer you will be required to complete technical work including;

  • Flood Risk Assessments for flood zone 1,2 and 3.
  • Flood Risk Mapping using ArcGIS.
  • Flood Consequence Assessments.
  • Drainage Strategies for Planning Applications.
  • Drainage design using Microdrainage and AutoCAD.

It is essential that applicants have a strong BSc and/or MSc in Civil or Environmental Engineering and experience using AutoCAD for designs throughout University. It is beneficial for applicants to have experience working for a Consultancy or Local Authority completing detailed drainage or construction designs using AutoCAD.

It is essential for applicants to reside locally and have a keen interest in Drainage and Flood Risk Engineering.

You will be expected to work from the office for training purposes and candidates are required to live within commutable distance of Shrewsbury.
