Verus Recruitment is excited to partner with a local MSP seeking a Senior IT Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, your IT leadership will drive impactful projects, with opportunities to work with cutting-edge technologies, mentor engineers, and contribute to diverse IT initiatives. You'll balance hands-on technical work with strategic oversight, including designing and optimising IT infrastructure and managing large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Act as the key contact for clients, addressing technical needs and resolving escalated issues.
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of IT systems, including networks, servers, telephony, and cloud solutions.
- Manage IT projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service delivery.
- Ensure IT systems comply with security standards and regulations to protect client data.
- Keep detailed documentation of systems and procedures for knowledge sharing and continuity.
What we're looking for:
- At least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and networking, ideally within an MSP environment.
- Strong proficiency in a variety of IT technologies, including Windows and Linux servers, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), networking (Unifi, Zyxel, Draytek), and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and 365.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field is preferred. Advanced certifications such as CCNP, MCSE, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus.
