About the role

Bedford Court is a high-quality registered care home that offers older people a relaxed, safe, and welcoming place to live.

We are seeking an Assistant Chef to support our Catering Supervisor in the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen, ensuring our reputation for food quality is consistently maintained. You will use fresh, good quality ingredients which are locally sourced where possible, to prepare and cook delicious nutritional meals for residents and visitors.

There will be no split shifts or night work, this role is to work daytimes only and the hours are over 2 days per week.

About you

We are looking for someone who holds an appropriate catering qualification, and who has previous relevant catering experience. You will hold a Level 2 Food Safety qualification and have working knowledge of Food Safety regulations. Personable, friendly and a good communicator, you will be able to work as part of the team (and be the team supervisor when on shift) and understand financials and working to food cost budgets, although training will be given.
