A large FM and Maintenance contractor who runs a contract for the Ministry of Defence to maintain Uk MOD sites has an exciting opportunity,
For an experienced Project Manager to join the team. This is a temporary role for an immediate start and could potentially become permanent.
The role requires security clearance to BPSS level.
The role
Working across a large high profile RAF base, this involves managing a wide variety of projects up to the value of £25k. This is a high-profile client and the buildings are numerous and varied in age and purpose. Projects will include mainly building fabric, such as roof repairs, window replacement, kitchen and bathroom refit and also some minor civils (dealing with potholes etc)
As a Project Manager, you play an important part in delivering projects in a safe and risk-free environment.
This includes management of safety, CDM, issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.
You will be responsible for:
1. Meeting with senior management and clients to identify project requirements, delivery timelines and costs.
2. Developing detailed project plans to guide clients, staff members and project teams and revising based on changing needs and requirements.
3. Identifying and assigning project tasks based on the skill sets, experience, and strengths of staff members and supply chain.
4. Monitoring project performance from external contractors to ensure timely delivery.
5. Compiling and submitting project status reports to clients, management, and other stakeholders.
6. Working effectively with relevant stakeholders for efficient project implementation.
7. Developing excellent leadership, customer relations and communication skills to liaise effectively with all project stakeholders.
About you
You will be an experienced project manager within a refurbishment and small works construction background, with the ability to project manage numerous small jobs at once. Excellent IT skills are needed as this is more office based than site.
- Trade/ degree or equivalent qualification in suitable construction/ management or Engineering discipline
- IOSH/ Nebosh
