The Rochester Bridge Trust is looking for a part time Administrator who will support the Trust in the administration of its varied events.

Do you have exceptional attention to detail and strong administration experience? Would you like to support the organisation of formal dining, public lectures, exhibition launches and promotional events, networking, meetings, training, drinks receptions and other varied events? Who we are

The Rochester Bridge Trust provides a free crossing of the River Medway in Rochester, Kent. The Trust, a charity founded in 1399, is committed to supporting education and has developed an award-winning education programme encouraging young people to learn more about civil engineering, bridge building and agriculture. The Trust distributes grants in a range of areas and delivers other charitable projects. There is a small, friendly team which works well together to achieve the Trust's strategic objectives.

You will be a highly organised, friendly and flexible person who is an effective communicator, able to work well as part of a team with an eye for detail and a willingness to learn.

Your role

  • To support the organisation and administration of events
  • To carry out administrative tasks, including working closely with suppliers
  • To support the Trust with any other duties as directed

You will need

  • High standard of written and spoken English
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A good standard of general education
  • Strong organisational and IT skills (MS Office)
  • Good standard of personal presentation
  • A full UK driving licence

Additional details

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Part time, up to 16 hours per week (to be worked over max 4 days, office closed on Fridays)

Salary: £22,000-£24,000 per year (pro-rated to part time hours)

Location: Rochester, Kent, UK (will consider requests to work one day a week from home)

Annual leave: 23 standard days leave in each holiday year plus all public/bank holidays. Pro-rated to part time hours.
