  • **Supporting GCSE humanities students in both 1-2-1 and small group settings.

The Graduate:

  • At least a bachelor's degree in history, geography, or R.E.
  • Passion for the education of KS3 and KS4 students and a commitment to improving the achievement levels of secondary school students.
  • A friendly, nurturing personality is essential, as well as a natural ability to form strong bonds with young people.
  • Previous experience of supporting children, or in a school setting, is advantageous but not mandatory.

The Role

In your Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant role, you will provide extensive support to students aged 11-16 to raise grades and attainment levels as they approach their GCSE examinations. You will monitor and track students' progress and provide constructive feedback, as well as support strategies that are tailored to suit the needs of each individual. You will use your caring personality, alongside a clear communication style to build strong bonds with both students and staff to create a positive learning environment.
