Finance Data Analyst | Scaling TV and Film Subscription Business | London/Hybrid
The Business
Our client is a scaling business in the TV and Film industry, providing a direct-to-consumer subscription platform home to hundreds of films and classic works of art. With a headcount of 25, you'll be joining a rapidly growing business intersecting tech, media, and the arts.
The Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-orientated Data/Finance Analyst to join a dynamic scale up in the digital/arts industry.
As a Finance Data Analyst, you'll be reporting into the talented Finance Director with a close link to the Head of Technology. In this role, you will be responsible for validating and analysing financial and subscriber data to ensure accuracy and provide insights to inform their overall business strategy.
Monthly and weekly KPI reporting for the senior leadership team and the Board will provide you with key strategic exposure and highlight the value you're adding to this scaling business. Additionally, you'll be tasked with interrogating, cleaning, and interpreting data sets pertaining to subscriber behaviour and how that influences content ROI to assist with their acquisition and marketing plans. This role is integral to this business' growth, as the data and KPI analysis you'll provide will be a key factor taken into account as they plan to scale and raise funds.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of financial data, strong data analytics skills. Familiarity of digital marketing/subscription/D2C business models will be useful.
Responsibilities:
- Collate, validate, and analyse financial and subscriber data for to understand client behaviour, the efficacy of promotions and marketing tools, and content performance
- Dig into data sets to gain insight into customer base and behaviour throughout their life cycles
- Lead on monthly and weekly KPI reporting to the SMT/Board
- Assist in financial modelling and analysis as needed
- Query SQL databases
- Business partner with the Senior Leadership Team to address discrepancies and resolve reporting issues.
- Create financial models to aid in strategic decision making
- Ad hoc tasks to support the Finance and Technology teams
What we need to see (essential):
- 2-3 years' experience in data analytics
- Attention to detail
What we'd like to see (bonus):
- Previous experience in an SME
- Passion for the TV/Film/Arts!
Salary: £50,000-£55,000
