Commercial Manager

Our client, an independent family-run business of botanical experts, specialising in the design, supply and installation of office plants and corporate flowers nationwide, is looking for a Commercial Manager to join their growing team. The Commercial Manager assists the Sales Manager in securing new contracts with the large Platinum clients. You will work closely with the Designers to produce specifications and proposals.

The responsibilities of the Commercial Manager include but are not limited to the following:

  • Understanding clients' key drivers and vision for a project working with the Designers to put this vision into reality.
  • Surveying project sites to get an understanding of the conditions, measurements and ascertaining how to deliver the project.
  • Proposal sign-off and presentation to clients, with the Sales Manager.
  • Ensure clear client communication throughout the opportunity process, keeping CRM up-to-date and forecasting accurate.
  • Specification sign-off to ensure 100% accuracy of project handover to procurement and operational teams.

Skills, Experience & Key Candidate Attributes of the Commercial Manager:

  • Experience working in a sales and pre-contracts role.
  • Ability to work with others to achieve business goals and excellent people skills.
  • Ability to read architectural drawings and floorplans, having a practical knowledge of construction.
  • Ability to think strategically, with commercial acumen.
  • Excellent IT skills including CRM Systems and Microsoft Office.
