Remote (some attendance in Fareham for induction and all staff training may be required)

Monday to Friday (37 hours a week which may include some evenings)

Holiday, 22 days plus Bank holiday which rises after one year.

Fareport Training are an Ofsted 'Good' work-based training provider. We deliver Apprenticeships, Skills Bootcamps and Commercial Training across England to individuals and employers who want to upgrade their own or the skills and qualifications of their workforce. Skills Bootcamps and Commercial Training will be key areas of focus for this role.

As a Data Analyst Trainer you will teach, mentor and guide adult students of varying levels of knowledge and experience, in mastering fundamental data analysis techniques and tools. Responsibilities include collaborating with other trainers and stakeholders, conducting one-on-one or group tutoring sessions, offering personalised feedback, and facilitating hands-on projects to enhance practical skills. Strong communication and analytical abilities are essential.

We are looking for applicants who can teach learners across our range of training including:

  • Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship
  • Data Analyst Higher Technical Qualifications
  • Data Analyst Bootcamps

The role includes:

  • Deliver mainly online and on occasions face to face training in Data Analysis to groups and individual learners. Some evening training sessions will be required for which you will receive time off in lieu.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to create learning materials, resources and interactive activities that are compelling, professional, and informative
  • Gather stakeholder feedback to refine and improve the curriculum
  • Assess the work of your learners and provide timely feedback and support
  • Ensure learners are seen, communicated with, progressed, monitored and supported regularly in line with their individual needs.
  • Ensure exceptional employer engagement with the student's line manager to include verbal feedback, written feedback via email or other agreed reporting procedures with group contracts, i.e. monthly reporting.

We are looking for someone with the following knowledge:

  • Data Wrangling: Ability to clean, preprocess, and manipulate data from various sources to make it suitable for analysis.
  • Statistical Analysis: Proficiency in applying statistical methods to analyse data, interpret results, and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Data Visualisation: Skill in creating visually appealing and informative charts, graphs, and dashboards to communicate insights effectively, preferably with experience in Excel and Power BI.
  • Machine Learning: Understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques for predictive modelling, classification, and clustering tasks.
  • Database Management: Knowledge of database systems and SQL for querying, extracting, and manipulating data stored in relational databases.
  • Programming: Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data analysis, such as Python, for data manipulation, analysis, and automation tasks.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively convey analysis findings, insights, and recommendations to learners with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with the specific domain or industry in which data analysis is being applied, enabling contextual understanding and more relevant insights.

You will have:

  • 5+ years Professional experience in Data Analyst role
  • Some Teaching and training in Data Analysis or similar subject would be desirable but not essential.
  • This role is subject to DBS check
