Brand new role from year-on-year sales growth and exciting new product launches. Genuine opportunity for you to sell a huge product portfolio of technical instrumentation and hand-held test equipment and software into engineering and industrial sectors, laboratories and research facilities. We are a reseller for some of the largest manufacturers in our market place.

BASIC SALARY: Up to £55,000 dependant on your experience

LOCATION: Office based in Bedford initially for your training then office / hybrid (to suit you) covering Birmingham and Southern England.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Sales Engineer, Technical Sales, Regional Sales - Instrumentation, NVH

Firstly you'll complete extensive in-house (with us in Bedford) and manufacturer based training (UK and Europe). You will then split your time between home / office / customer sites as a Sales Engineer managing your own diary, visiting customers 2 or 3 days a week covering Birmingham and the South of England.

Typical product sales are from £5000-£150,000 (£30,000 AOV). 80% of our turnover is from exclusive distributor sales agreements.

Own customer base includes Automotive and Aerospace OEM's, Tier 1 engineering suppliers, Construction Companies, Main Contractors, Power Generation, Research Laboratories, Universities, Acoustic Consultancies, Audio industry, AV etc. Who else can you help us break into?

You'll be supported to be successful by an excellent technical support, applications, and internal sales team.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: Sales Engineer, Technical Sales, Regional Sales - Instrumentation, NVH

  • Managing your own diary you will generate new business, handle inbound sales enquiries, attend exhibitions, self-generate your own leads, networking, run digital marketing campaigns
  • Your aim is to book face to face meetings (existing and new clients) to present our extensive product portfolio, introduce our service offerings and demonstrate our hardware and software
  • Sell after sales support contracts offering service and calibration

YOUR BACKGROUND: Sales Engineer, Technical Sales, Regional Sales - Instrumentation, NVH

  • You'll have a solid B2B sales / business development background within hardware or software products / solutions or similar - it could be anything from hand held test equipment / instrumentation to NDT or NVH equipment
  • You'll have sold into engineers or technical people within a manufacturing, consultancy, research establishments or engineering environments
  • You'll be technically minded and open to learning our extensive product portfolio
