Position: Depot Manager

We are looking for a new member to join our team as a Depot Manager. The successful candidate will support all departments to ensure the smooth running of the business. As members of the HAE and SafeHire accredited, all policies and procedures must be adhered to, ensuring the safety of staff and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of both depots to ensure smooth running.
  • Provide sales support by liaising with the Workshop Manager & Sales Director to ensure all orders are fulfilled.
  • Manage stock control, including purchase orders for machine parts, consumables, and office stationery.
  • Oversee logistics, ensuring all drivers have correct paperwork and are compliant with FORS Accreditation requirements, vehicle servicing, and MOT.
  • Ensure all health and safety risk assessments and policies are up-to-date and maintained.
  • Manage facilities, including fire extinguishers, waste disposal, general maintenance, and utilities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any customer issues quickly and successfully while liaising with necessary departments.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Proven experience as a Depot Manager within the Hire Industry.
  • Experience in maintaining and updating risk assessments, records, and policies.
  • Ability to work quickly and methodically under pressure.
  • Willingness to learn and reliability.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in written and spoken English.
