Responsibilities for Machine Technician / Setter:
•
Set up and operate sheet-metal working machines, ensuring tolerances are maintained
•
Change machine tools, and adjust machine control settings, maintain setting records
•
Understand the correct operating procedures for all machines in the area, maintain records
•
Recording all programs created for repeat runners and one offs
•
Work with engineering department, manufacturing and recording data for prototype parts
•
Understand customer drawings, manufacturing processes and tolerances
•
Understand customer order requirements as detailed on job card
•
Quality standards are maintained; quality records are completed and signed
•
Be able to quality check your own work using measuring equipment such as micrometres, verniers, callipers
•
To take a responsible approach to COSHH, Health & Safety and Environmental risks in relation your job role and that of your colleagues
•
Keeping the Company's tools and equipment safe and in a clean, workable condition
•
Recording data for prototype parts
•
Following all the correct procedures for all machines
Requirements for Machine Technician / Setter:
•
Experience within a Mechanical Engineering Background
•
Promote a positive, approachable, and welcoming culture throughout the company
•
Promote and support good housekeeping and maintenance
•
Computer skills: must be competent in the use of Microsoft office
•
Able to follow instructions and production schedules
•
Numerate and literate
•
Good Communication skills
•
Ability to follow instructions
•
Work under pressure
•
Organised and methodical
Working hours:
•
Monday - Thursday: 06:45 - 16:45
•
Salary start from: £26k+ per annum
In Return for Machine Technician / Setter:
•
Pay reviewed after 12 weeks
•
Permanent Contract
•
Pension scheme
•
Bonus up to 30% of salary
•
Free on-site parking
