Cover Supervisor
- Job Type: Part-time (30 hours per week, 39 weeks per year)
- Location: Surrey
- Salary: Surrey PS6 Scale
We are looking for a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our team, responsible for supervising classes and ensuring the continuity of education when teachers are absent. The role also includes providing administrative and lesson support to departments within the school.
Day to day of the role:
- Supervise students in classrooms, ensuring that the work set by teachers is completed according to lesson plans.
- Take morning registration and oversee the entry and departure of students in line with school policy.
- Implement the school's Behaviour for Learning policy and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Provide feedback to teachers or subject leaders on lessons covered.
- Offer administrative and learning support to nominated departments when not required for cover supervision.
- Invigilate internal and external examinations and accompany visits and field trips as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour and engage students in their work.
- Strong communication skills to effectively deliver lesson plans and instructions.
- Good organisational skills to handle the daily tasks of classroom management.
- Flexibility to adapt to various subjects and year groups.
- Commitment to the school's values and policies, including safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Willingness to participate in professional development and contribute to the wider school community.
