Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Barnsley
Salary: £80-£100/Day (DOE)
Orca Recruitment & Training Services Ltd is expanding and we have opened up a specialist Education division, we are looking for Teaching Assistants who are looking for temporary or permanent work.
The responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant role include:
- Work with groups of children at various ages to support their learning.
- Follow instructions and guidance provided by the class teacher.
- Ensure children's safety both in and out of the classroom.
- Supervise children during playtime and lunchtime.
- Prepare classroom materials, including cutting, sticking, photocopying, and laminating.
- Observe and provide feedback to the class teacher regarding children's learning.
- Effectively manage off-task behaviours.
For the Teaching Assistant role you will need:
- Relevant qualifications in supporting teaching and learning in schools (NVQ Level 2 or 3) or equivalent
- Personal skills and experience to be able to effectively support students
- Ability to work effectively with challenging behaviour when it arises and helping them to develop their own coping strategies.
- The ability to work on your own initiative and to work as a team player
