About the Role:

Salt's Local Government team is working with a leading council on a significant IT Infrastructure Transformation and Upgrade Programme. We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead the discovery and delivery of a technical specification for the relocation of the council's CCTV Data Centre, Control Centre, and associated circuits.

This critical role involves planning and coordinating the seamless relocation of these essential systems, ensuring minimal disruption, maintaining security, and preserving operational integrity. You will engage with multiple stakeholders, including IT, security, and facilities management teams, to formulate detailed project requirements that support procurement and future roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the discovery and technical planning for the relocation of the CCTV Data Centre, Control Centre, and associated circuits.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination between IT, security, and facilities management departments.
  • Create comprehensive technical specifications and requirements to inform procurement processes.
  • Develop and execute a relocation plan with minimal operational disruption, maintaining all technical and safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular project updates and ensuring adherence to change management frameworks.
  • Manage risks, assess potential disruptions, and mitigate challenges to ensure the relocation is completed successfully.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive experience in technical program management, specifically within infrastructure and data centre relocation projects.
  • Strong background in CCTV systems, data centre operations, and control centre environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple departments and coordinate complex projects with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in risk management, project reporting, and working within structured change management frameworks.

Desirable Skills:

  • Local Government or Wider Public Sector experience is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of public sector procurement processes and operational standards.
