gap personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently looking for an experienced Production/FLT Operator to join a busy team in a well-established client based in Pontyclun.
Due to staff turnover, a vacancy has arisen in the Production department for a CB driver.
The successful applicant will be reporting to the Production Manager and will have the following key responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions/ Responsibilities
- Loading / Offloading.
- Movement of stock to appropriate storage locations /factory operatior
- Operate various pallet handling machinery including pallet trucks, reach trucks, pallet wrappers etc.;
- Follow all relevant safety and housekeeping procedures to ensure that the highest level of cleanliness and safety is maintained at all times;
- Ensuring at all times adherence to the requirements of the COSHH regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Qualifications and Experience - Essential
- Experience of working in a production environment;
- A good understanding and attitude towards health and safety and housekeeping;
- A good understanding and attitude towards Quality
- A flexible attitude and willingness to work shifts.
Qualifications and Experience - Desirable
- A valid FLT Counter Balance license
- Experience of Manufacturing
This weekly-paid position is offered on the basis of 40 hours per week, on either mornings or afternoon shifts with overtime available
The basic hourly rate of pay for this role is £11.55 with free lunch provided.
