Role Overview: As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN). Your positive attitude, patience, and commitment will help create an engaging and supportive learning atmosphere for our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in the planning and delivery of individualised education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
- Implement behavioural strategies and support students in developing social skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our students.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Requirements:
- A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
