Exciting Opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer!

We are currently seeking a talented Maintenance Engineer to join our client's dynamic manufacturing team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of our client's plant and machinery, contributing to increased quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost savings.

Salary: £42,000

Location: Deeside - must live within a commutable distance.

Duration: Permanent

Hours: Full-time/Part-time available

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, record, and implement preventative maintenance programmes for plant and machinery, while organising and negotiating service contracts.
  • Diagnose and repair emergency breakdowns promptly to minimise production downtime.
  • Identify potential line modifications to enhance overall output and efficiency.
  • Coordinate service and maintenance contracts, supporting the implementation of key training initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accreditations.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles, especially autonomous maintenance and SMED.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisational and communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and supplier management.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or relevant field.
  • Certification in Engineering Maintenance or related area is desired.
  • Demonstrated experience with preventative maintenance programmes.
