Experienced School Administrator - Part Time

A returning school I am working with are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing administrative systems within the Bursary, handling confidential information, and providing support to the Director of Finance and Operations. This role requires a high level of organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Maintain and develop administrative systems, ensuring comprehensive filing of legal and relevant documentation.
  • Respond to email, telephone, face-to-face, and postal enquiries.
  • Manage diary and daily briefings, including tidying rooms and organising refreshments for meetings.
  • Handle paperwork and confidential information with discretion.
  • Support the Director of Finance and Operations with general filing, photocopying, and other administrative duties.
  • Take minutes in meetings and organise meetings, including catering arrangements.
  • Manage administrative aspects of lettings and provide support to the Operations Manager.
  • Prepare information for Governors, maintain records, and ensure compliance with governance legislation.
  • Provide administrative support to the Finance department.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good level of school qualifications.
  • Proven experience as an administrator.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience with Management Information Systems is desirable.
  • Proficiency in IT, including word processing, spreadsheets, and management information systems.
  • Ability to relate effectively and earn the confidence of colleagues, students, and parents.
  • Professional, with integrity, dedicated, hard-working, and an effective team player.
