You will also include professional resources for projects by working collaboratively with colleagues across the business to ensure commercial and contractual measures are in place.

Description
- Leading the development and strategic management of procurement strategies designed to deliver significant cost and process efficiencies across your specialist area
- Undertaking and managing a robust, compliant procurement process including market analysis, issue of PQQ / ITT, assessment, contract placement and negotiation and contract and relationship management at varying complexity and values including delivery under EU Utilities procurement law and company procedures
- Negotiating contractual agreements with strategic providers and satisfying day to day procurement requirements to ensure added value, savings, total cost management, quality and surety of supply
- Delivering cost savings and process efficiencies in own area of responsibility
- Supporting the delivery of innovation and cost reduction to the business in both Capex and Opex through the establishment of best practice procurement including commercial terms, supplier relationship management, process efficiency /compliance and benchmarking of best practice
- Input to the reporting and management of key reporting measures for the category across the portfolio of key suppliers
Profile
- Proven experience with end-to-end procurement
- An established negotiator, experienced at managing suppliers and a range of contract terms
- Experience of operating under EU procurement law particularly Utilities Contracts Directives
- Experience of drafting and reviewing bespoke terms and conditions
- Experienced in setting and delivering procurement and commercial strategy from sourcing through to management of supply chain
Job Offer
- Hybrid working - 2 days per week in Cardiff or Newport
- £500 - £600 per day (umbrella)
- 6 months contract, possibility for longer
