Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure customer needs are met and support the supply chain strategy
- Deliver sustainable cost reductions, operational efficiency's, and supplier performance improvements
- Manage category and suppliers, from tendering to contract planning and negotiation
- Develop and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the supply chain team
- Implement procurement and supplier performance monitoring systems
- Manage long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers
- Support, mentor, and coach apprentices
Job Requirements:
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate substantial experience in supply chain and procurement management, including contract and supplier management. You must also have:
- CIPS accreditation (minimum level 5)
- Experience in running tenders, reducing costs, and fostering productive relationships with stakeholders
- Proven ability to conduct comparison analysis and produce actionable recommendations
- Strong communication skills, including active listening, curiosity, and diplomacy
- Commercial awareness, computer literacy, and attention to detail
- Experience with NEC contracts
