SEN Teaching Assistant - Make a Real Difference!
Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Salary: £11.72 - £12.78 per hour (Actual: £19,370.70 - £21,122.66, depending on experience)
Hours: 37 hours per week - Term Time Only

We're seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team, supporting students aged 11-19 with complex needs such as autism, learning disabilities, and communication difficulties. Your Role:
- Support Learning & Development: Collaborate with professionals to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment where students can succeed.
- Personalised Assistance: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with sensory and communication needs.
- Build Strong Relationships: Foster trust with students, ensuring a safe and welcoming learning atmosphere.
- Behaviour Management: Implement creative strategies to encourage positive behaviour, adapting to each student's unique needs.
- Personal Care: Offer assistance with personal care, ensuring students feel supported and respected.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with SEN students (paid or voluntary).
- A Level 2 or higher qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (preferred but not essential).
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or above) - essential.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- A flexible and creative approach to adapt to individual learning needs.
