Children Residential Team Leader

  • Hourly Rate: £14.42 plus £60 per sleep-in shift
  • Location: Oxton, Wallasey, New Brighton
  • Job Type: Full-time, 24-hour shift basis (1 on, 3 off pattern)

We are seeking a dedicated Children's Support Worker to join our team across three homes located in Oxton, Wallasey, and New Brighton. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for making a difference in the lives of children and young people in a residential setting.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Engage with children and young people, building trust and supporting their individual needs.
  • Implement care plans and contribute to reviews and assessments.
  • Encourage and facilitate educational engagement and recreational activities.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of care provided.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to ensure the highest standards of care are upheld.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Level 3 qualification in Children's Residential Care or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in children and young people's residential care.
  • Strong understanding of the needs and rights of children in care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on a flexible schedule.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
