Procurement Coordinator, Clitheroe, Up to £35k
I am working exclusively with this exciting, rapidly expanding business based in Clitheroe. They have a fantastic opportunity available for a Procurement Coordinator to join them during a period of growth, and are seeking a highly motivated self-starter with a strong sense of mission to understand the market. An excellent communicator, and someone who is able to build strong cross-functional relationships, internally and externally.
Duties will include;
- Initially work with the Procurement Manager in preparing for negotiations and eventually lead negotiations independently.
- Ensuring products purchased are on time at the right price, right quality, right quantity and delivered to the right place.
- Liaise with suppliers and possess strong sourcing skills to help the company procure the best quality ingredients & packaging at the most economic prices.
- Vetting suppliers to ensure compliance with company ethical and sustainability standards.
- Inventory management, planning and forecasting to be completed every day to ensure optimum levels of stock
- Knowledge of quality procedures is advantageous as well as dealing with imports and exports.
- Assist with management of supplier KPI's and monitoring performance.
What you will need;
- You will be assessed on stock outs as part of your internal KPI's. A strong character is needed.
- Knowledge of purchasing ingredients and packaging is advantageous
- Excellent analytical skills, and passion to learn new things
- Ability to manage your own time and deadlines, the ability to adapt to the ever-changing priorities of the market situation.
- A genuine interest and passion for Procurement with a desire to start or continue CIPS
- A willingness to step outside of comfort zones, learn new skills and procedures and not be set in ways
Hours; Mon - Fri 9am-5pm
