Operations Support Opperator

We are seeking a dedicated professional to ensure the effective and efficient operation of our client's computer systems, adhering to defined processes and customer requirements while meeting service-level agreements. This role involves managing scheduled jobs, data processing, secure data transfers, printing documentation, and monitoring the Data Centre environment.

Work Structure:

This role includes flexible shifts, working Monday to Friday as part of the team, typically 2 days per week at Head Office, 3 days per week working from home.

Key Tasks/Accountabilities:

Proactive System Monitoring: Proactively monitor the availability of systems by following predefined processes and procedures to ensure smooth operation.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with IS teams, business stakeholders, and support partners to maintain services and provide support for business users.

Incident Management: Record incidents/problems and escalate effectively to resolve issues as soon as possible, ensuring user requests are resolved within agreed Service Levels.

Application and Schedule Management: Manage, monitor, and run applications to maintain daily, evening, monthly, and ad-hoc schedules, ensuring correct parameter details are entered.

Data Centre and Print Management: Monitor the Data Centre environment, manage printers and print queues, and ensure proper distribution of printed documents and reports within agreed timescales.

Requirements:

Good communication and customer service skills

Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Excellent technical and IT support skills

Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows, SAP, Google Workspace (or similar)

In-depth knowledge of printer management, workflow, functionality, and print quality
