Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Planner to join a vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both commercial and residential planning, with a proven track record of managing complex projects from inception to completion. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage planning applications and appeals for a variety of commercial and residential projects.
- Provide strategic planning advice to clients, ensuring all projects align with local and national planning policies.
- Conduct site appraisals and feasibility studies to assess development potential.
- Coordinate and liaise with local authorities, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Prepare and present reports, planning statements, and other relevant documentation.
- Mentor and support junior planners, fostering their professional development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Town Planning or a related field.
- Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or eligibility for membership.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a planning role, with a focus on commercial and residential projects.
- Strong understanding of UK planning legislation and policy.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
