Are you looking for a role where you can make a 'real difference' to vulnerable adult lives? I have an exciting Housing Support Worker opportunity to join my clients' friendly team.
Working hours: 35 hours per week to be worked across 5 days per week, a mixture of early shifts and late shifts and will include alternative weekends. This role will be based in a local resettlement centre located in Braintree, Essex. The centre provides accommodation and support based on individual needs to 14 individuals aged 18 and above who have experienced homelessness.
As a motivated and dynamic Support Worker, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a high-quality programme of support which promotes client choice and control. You will address client support needs, enable them to achieve positive life changes and ultimately empower them to lead more sustainable lifestyles. There is occasional lone working, but there is an excellent on-call system and numerous systems in place to support lone working staff.
Requirements*Level 3 qualification in a related field or willingness to work in it*Knowledge of the main support needs which are commonly faced by homeless clients*Knowledge and an understanding of the benefits system*A positive attitude and motivation towards supporting vulnerable clients*Good written and verbal communication skills*Good team working skills*Proficient in a range of IT packages, including Microsoft
