Retail Sales Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Manager to join our client's team, primarily based in their Wigan or Aintree showroom, which serves as their biggest hub of activity. This role requires a seasoned professional who understands the intricacies of managing multiple showrooms, customer engagement, and driving sales.

This is a family-run company where generations of know-how go into every product. From humble beginnings with a handful of family and friends, the company has grown into a talented team of home improvement experts dedicated to helping customers find the best products for their homes. With three generations of expertise at your service, they design their products from their North West headquarters and work closely with a team of craftspeople at their production facilities that practice responsible processes in manufacturing and forestry.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct courtesy calls to customers, ensuring follow-ups within 7-10 days.
  • Own customer relationships, inviting them into the showroom for demonstrations and providing comprehensive support.
  • Exhibit extensive product knowledge and the ability to explain pricing and features.
  • Utilize iPads, catalogues, and visualization tools effectively.
  • Manage the CRM system and use various communication platforms efficiently.
  • Handle inbound leads, conduct full presentations, and convert them into home visits.
  • Maintain detailed diaries and understand local geography and postcodes.
  • Supervise and support the recruitment and management of candidates across all showrooms.
  • Oversee rotas and ensure fair scheduling, including weekend shifts on a rota basis.
  • Monitor and drive key performance indicators (KPIs), with the potential to earn bonuses.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Background in interior design, telemarketing, double glazing, kitchens, bedrooms, or bathroom sales.
  • Previous experience in retail management.
  • Strong IT skills and familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of branch operations.
  • Creative, customer-oriented, and able to thrive in a sales environment without getting bored.
