Your new company is a well established business in Barrow-In-Furness. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join the team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
- Investigate and problem-solve financial anomalies to ensure accounts are accurately reflected.
- Deliver continuous improvement of key Finance processes.
- Assist colleagues by investigating member queries ensuring a positive outcome for those members.
- Provide support to the purchase ledger manager, including logging invoices and making payments.
- Assist with month end processes that include, bank reconciliations, journal input and assist with adhoc reporting.
- Support the interim and year end audit, providing and interpreting financial data to the external auditors.
- Manage suspense accounts and return members money in a timely manner.
What you'll need to succeed
- AAT qualified / part qualified.
- Good communication skills
- Good Problem solving skills
- Quick Learner
- Ability to work alone as well as being part of a team
- Bank reconciliation experience, knowledge or debits / credits
- Experience of using Sage is preferable but not essential
- Experience of using Excel
