Full-Time, Monday to Thursday 7:00am - 3:30pm, Early finish on Fridays at 12:00pm

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Purchasing Administrator to join our client's team. In this role, you will oversee the purchasing process, ensure timely delivery of materials, and maintain appropriate stock levels. You will work closely with suppliers, the Sales team, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth production operations and that customer requirements are met. Prior procurement experience is not essential, as our client values organisation, strong communication, and passion in their candidates!

**Responsibilities:

  • Create and issue purchase orders from approved requisitions, following up on confirmations and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to expedite orders and maintain continuity of supply.
  • Identify inefficiencies in procurement processes and suggest improvements to reduce waste in time, cost and resources.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new suppliers, ensuring best practices and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet customer requirements, ensuring seamless collaboration between Sales and Production.
  • Conduct monthly stock takes, ensuring accurate records and supporting stock planning efforts.
  • Develop and adjust work plans to align with production priorities, ensuring smooth workflow to meet sales and customer service targets.
  • Reconcile monthly credit card expenditure for the department.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance departmental efficiency and growth.

**Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, managing supplier relationships and commercial transactions, is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills for building and maintaining effective relationships.
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
