What you'll do as the production manager:

As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for leading the production team to meet targets across three key product lines. Your primary duties will include:

  • Safety Leadership: Acting as a role model for safety standards, always looking for ways to improve safety performance.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with various departments (engineering, commercial sales, supply chain management) to align production schedules with sales demand and forecasts.
  • Productivity Maximisation: Ensuring effective workforce planning to fulfil production schedules by having the right people with the right skills in the right place.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analysing production, maintenance, and malfunction records to drive performance improvements in the rolling mill.
  • Maintenance Management: Forecasting, planning, and managing production line maintenance to minimise disruptions.
  • Quality Promotion: Promoting Total Quality Management and Continuous Improvement Practices.
  • Strategic Contribution: Participating in planning and decision-making to align production strategy with business goals.
  • Team Development: Providing ongoing recognition, feedback, coaching, and development for team members.
  • Performance Management: Setting goals, providing feedback, and evaluating performance.
  • Work Environment: Building and maintaining a safe, positive, and productive work environment.
  • Talent Development: Planning for future organisational needs through talent and succession planning.

What you'll need to apply for the production manager position:

What you receive

A salary of up to £60,000, a bonus of up to 20%, a 5% company pension contribution, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) and a cash healthcare scheme.
