About The Company:

Our client is a leading design and manufacturing organisation, providing a range of mechanical products across the aerospace, defence, oil & gas and wider general industry. They have a great reputation with their customers and a strong pipeline of orders spanning the next 18 months. With ambitious plans to drive significant growth over the next 3-5 years, they are looking to diversify their product range and develop effective and efficient manufacturing and production processes.

Production Engineer – The Role:

The role will take ownership of the manufacturing process to ensure that their products are produced in the most efficient way without compromising on the quality customers expect. It will provide support to the wider production team, implementing process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives in order to drive success. You will work closely with other departments and set an example for establishing a driven and high performing approach.

Production Engineer – Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide production and manufacturing support to the Engineering Department, focusing on process improvements for production
  • Develop and maintain clear process documentation, drawings and plans as required
  • Optimise all aspects of production, focusing on implementing lean practices
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure a high quality customer service and product

Production Engineer – You:

  • A minimum of 8 years experience in the metal machining space, including CNC Mills and Lathe
  • Strong track record of implementing Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Ability to design and implement manufacturing drawings and specifications
