Due to continued growth, we are looking for three Test Technicians to work in a 12 month contract, based at the clients manufacturing site in Peterborough.
The successful candidates will work within the engine development team, who provide leadership for engine test and development solutions for the company. Carrying out research & development work for new and existing product ranges. Testing, including fitting prototype parts to an engine and/or record and produce quality data is fundamental to the role.
We are looking for the following skills and competences:
- Mechanical/electrical experience on diesel engines, such as stripping & rebuilding along with an understanding of common rail fuel systems
- Good PC skills
- Engine test rig experience and/or technical/mechanical experience would provide a distinct advantage.
- Additional specific training will be given where required.
- Applicants must be self-motivated with good team working skills and be willing to work shifts.
- Initiative and a positive attitude to change are essential.
Qualifications:
- City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Mechanics
- Apprenticeship served in Motor Mechanics or equivalent qualifications
