About the Role As a Family Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting the firm's family law department. You will work closely with solicitors and partners, assisting with a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, financial settlements, and domestic abuse cases. Your responsibilities will include:
- Drafting legal documents and correspondence
- Conducting legal research
- Managing case files and maintaining accurate records
- Liaising with clients, courts, and other legal professionals
- Preparing court bundles and attending hearings when required
- Providing administrative support to the team
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a family law setting is preferred, though candidates with general paralegal experience and a keen interest in family law will also be considered.
- Education: A legal qualification such as a law degree, LPC, or equivalent is desirable.
- Skills: Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
