Residential Conveyancing Solicitor

One of our Legal 500 Practice Clients is seeking a skilled and motivated Conveyancing Solicitor with 2-5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to join our reputable firm in Central London. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our conveyancing department, managing a diverse caseload and providing expert legal advice to clients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters from inception to completion.
  2. Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide legal advice to clients on conveyancing matters.
  3. Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other parties involved in property transactions to facilitate smooth and timely transactions.
  4. Handle complex conveyancing issues, including title defects, leasehold matters, and property disputes.
  5. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and procedures governing conveyancing transactions.
  6. Provide excellent client service, maintaining regular communication and keeping clients informed throughout the conveyancing process.
  7. Work closely with other members of the conveyancing team to share knowledge, best practices, and contribute to the overall success of the department.
  8. Keep abreast of developments in conveyancing law and practice, attending training sessions and professional development opportunities as necessary.
  9. Assist with business development initiatives, including networking events, client seminars, and marketing activities to promote the firm's conveyancing services.
  10. Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and integrity in all interactions and transactions.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified Solicitor with 2-5 years of PQE in conveyancing law.
  2. Solid experience managing a caseload of residential and/or commercial conveyancing matters independently.
  3. Strong knowledge of conveyancing law, procedures, and best practices.
  4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and concisely to clients.
  5. Exceptional client service skills with a proactive and client-focused approach.
  6. Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  7. Team player with a collaborative attitude and willingness to share knowledge and support colleagues.
  8. Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  9. Membership in the Law Society of England and Wales is preferred.
  10. A genuine interest in property law and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
