Reed Finance are pleased to be supporting our client, who is looking for a Commercial Finance Manager to play a pivotal role in driving the performance of the business through insightful financial analysis. Reporting to the Head of Finance and working closely with the FD, you will be responsible for the preparation and review of Management Accounts and cash flow forecasts, as well as partnering with Operations and Commercial colleagues to influence and support business decisions.
Day to Day of the role:
- Update and maintain WIP files on a monthly basis.
- Oversee the production and initial review of management accounts, including variance analysis.
- Prepare 13-week cash flow forecasts and short-term daily cash flow forecasts.
- Business partner with Operations, reviewing CTCs, projected outturns, and projected cash flow on major projects.
- Ensure Balance Sheet reconciliations are completed and reviewed.
- Support the Head of Finance in developing the finance team and divisional forecasting, as well as the development of annual budgets.
- Review and submit HMRC submissions such as PAYE, VAT, CIS, P11D on time.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce financial policies, procedures, and controls within the finance team.
- Provide financial analysis support to the Head of Finance and Finance Director.
- Streamline processes and drive continuous improvement for efficiencies in the finance team.
- Handle ad-hoc reporting and duties as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- Over 5 years of experience in Management Accounting or Finance Business Partnering.
- Strong Excel skills and exposure to BI reporting/SQL/Macros.
- Project Accounting experience is preferred.
- High attention to detail.
- Experience in partnering with and challenging non-finance individuals.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Awareness of detail surrounding individual project working capital.
