Design/Estimating Operative

Main Purpose of Job:

This office-based design and estimating role aims to provide industry-leading service and support to the company's customers, both internal and external, contributing to the achievement of sales and service level targets. The role requires speed, accuracy, excellent communication, and a positive, confident attitude.

Main Responsibilities:

Job Activities (not exhaustive):

Log and raise quotes and drawings in the company's CRM system.
Ensure all customer quotations and designs are managed, resolved, and closed within 48 hours of enquiry receipt.
Follow up and close sales quotations.
Provide customer service and design support to external and internal teams, including UK and Export customers.
Proactively seek to continually improve systems and controls.
Conduct site surveys, initially accompanied by a sales manager, with potential for independent visits as needed.
Perform other duties as requested by company directors and partners.
Relevant Qualifications, Knowledge, Training:

Enthusiastic team player.
Ability to communicate with internal and external customers.
Capability to identify areas for improvement and implement programs.
Attention to detail.
Complete tasks accurately and promptly.
General knowledge of gas and oil heating products preferred but not essential.
Experience with AutoCAD or similar software preferred but not essential.
Proficiency with Excel.
Strong communication skills.
Good mathematical skills.
Strong desire to learn and improve.
Commitment to providing 100% customer service and meeting company objectives.
Availability of in-house and external training where required.
Other Requirements:

Awareness of Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
Proficiency with PC and numeracy skills.
