Location: Euston, London - Field Based

Hours: Monday - Friday 9 - 5

Salary: £80,000 - £90,000

The individual will oversee a team of safety compliance and licencing experts and be the champion of Health & Safety and Technical Services at Campions with responsibility for shaping and delivering the Campions Health &S and Technical Services strategies.

The role will be instrumental in fostering a positive culture of H&S across a range of brands and central support functions within Campions and overseeing and shaping the Technical, Property & Portfolio Compliance and Environmental functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the Campions Health and Safety Strategy: Design and

implement a robust Health and Safety framework and management system (Plan,
Do, Check, Act) in accordance with policies and procedures to deliver legislative
compliance, industry best practices, and organisational objectives.

  • Work with the Director of Compliance and the Operations, Services and Integration Director to introduce, monitor and maintain effective policies and procedures across all entities within the group.
  • Identify, assess, and manage potential risks and hazards within Campions Group.
  • Control and manage corporate risk registers, monitoring and measuring programmes to identify areas for improvement and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.
  • Ensure corporate compliance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation,

regulations, and codes of practice. Stay updated with changes in legislation and
industry standards and communicate any necessary updates to the organisation.

  • Effective management of the Safety Compliance & Licencing team working across

the office network and group lettings portfolio.

  • Provide support to the operational teams, particularly Facilities Management, in relation to mechanical and electrical services across the estate as required.
  • Lead the Campions environmental agenda, particularly in relation to the Campions carbon footprint, energy consumption and waste management.
  • Overseeing Campions contractors to ensure they comply with our environmental aspirations and policies.
  • Continuously review and enhance the Health and Safety management plan updating processes, procedures, and systems to drive continuous improvement. Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation to drive a positive Health and Safety culture across the group.
  • In conjunction with Procurement, ensure that Campions contractor network meet legislative, Health and Safety and Campions standards of workmanship and customer service.

Skills and Experience

  • Role appropriate qualification and/or experience - technically strong and commercially astute.
  • Proven experience in a senior Health and Safety leadership role, preferably within

the housing/agency sector coupled with construction related experience.

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
  • Certified status of IOSH (Institution of Safety and Health) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, regulations, and best

practices.

  • Highly motivated and pro-active self-starter who has demonstrable ability to work

to tight deadlines.

  • Ability to interact, engage and influence stakeholders.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving and business partnering skills.
  • Ability to lead and inspire, fostering a culture of compliance and ethics.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
