Job Role: Estimating and Welding Coordinator

Metalis are currently supporting a growing fabrication business which is looking for an Estimating & Works Coordinator. All levels of experience will be considered for this role, however if entry level you will need an engineering qualification (HNC, MEng, etc.)
In this new & varied customer facing role you will be an integral part of the business future growth plans. A key focal point between the engineering department, customer & management team, your role will see you working with global companies through to small independents.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Able to quote and estimate for jobs.
- Being the key contact for customer enquiries.
- Generating BOMs for the purchasing department.
- Basic adjustment of CAD drawings.
- Delivering Progress reports to customers.
- Liaising with the engineering team for progress updates.
- Delivering tender presentations to new and existing business.
- Delivering of long term projects.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings.
- A strong communicator at all levels.
- Previous estimating and purchasing experience.
- Understanding of different types of welds.
- Knowledge of different grades of steels and exotic metals.
- Strong analytical skills.
Salary and Shift:
- Up to £35,000
- Full time - 39 hours per week
- 08:30 - 17:00 - early finish Friday
