Technical Coordinator

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Technical Coordinator to join a leading developer of affordable housing in the UK. The role involves coordinating key information, engineering, and working drawing packages to enable residential developments to be built as intended and to secure all necessary technical approvals.

Day to Day of the role:

Manage site development from design stage to post-completion, aligning with the delivery programme.

Undertake aspects of the Principal Designer role as per the Construction Design & Management Regulation 2015.

Complete all necessary Health, Safety & Environmental documents in line with group policy.

Coordinate delivery of surveys & reports required for development from design to completion.

Manage the process of obtaining consultant fee proposals and formal appointment documents.

Coordinate consultants to deliver civil engineering designs, including legal plans and value engineering assessments.

Coordinate submissions and secure technical approvals for agreements such as S104, S38, and S278.

Manage completion of legal agreements post-technical approval.

Coordinate utility designs and mains laying onto the site, ensuring timely completion of legal agreements.

Coordinate street naming with the local authority and distribute plot lists internally and externally.

Assist in the production of Sales brochures and legal and sales handover meetings.

Provide information for Housing Association contracts and attend progress meetings.

Coordinate consultants to deliver house type working drawing packs and liaise with key suppliers.

Prepare drawings and documents for tender, construction issue, and sales handover.

Ensure the accuracy of information supplied by all departments.

Submit information to NHBC and obtain approvals, including SAP Assessments, EPCs, and Secured by Design Approval.

Collate all ancillary specialist drawings and chair Pre-Start Meetings.

Liaise with architects, civil and structural engineers, and landscape architects for design consistency.

Advise Land, Planning & Development teams during land acquisition and planning conditions discharge.

Monitor and report on technical & development fees, including S106 obligations.

Resolve technical-related queries and conduct site visits as required.
