We are currently seeking a Global Conflicts Lawyer to join our clients growing firm in Manchester.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Global Head of Conflicts, Global Business Acceptance Manager, and other department leaders to aid in conflict checks for new clients and matters across diverse jurisdictions.
- Employ internal and external databases and other resources to enhance analysis and support decision-making.
- Proactively liaise with department leadership on complex conflicts inquiries and compliance matters.
- Assist with general conflict issues across all jurisdictions and contribute to information barriers and document security management as required.
- Support the training of Legal Administrative Assistants, lawyers, and business services staff on the firm's new matter intake, conflicts, Anti-Money Laundering, and other compliance procedures.
- Undertake various related special projects as needed and lead business clearances across offices.
- Review and analyze all new business thoroughly and promptly to identify ethical and business conflicts of interest.
About You:
- Proficiency in English at an international business level, both written and oral.
- Exceptional written communication and organizational abilities, adept at managing multiple requests.
- Knowledge of Intapp conflict checking, ethical wall, and business intake software is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively at all organizational levels and influence consensus.
- Understanding and experience in business continuity requirements and implementations.
- Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 3 years of practice experience.
