Working for an established electrical contracting business, with a growing customer base who provide their services to their commercial, industrial, and domestic customers across the UK.
The business provides a friendly and hassle-free approach, whilst offering cost-effective electrical solutions, with a focus on building long-term relationships.
The role of Electrical Estimator is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for accurately estimating costs and preparing electrical tenders for both pre-designed and bespoke design and build projects.
Your role will involve collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure comprehensive project understanding and successful bidding outcomes.
You will be maintaining strong stakeholder and customer relationships, producing detailed and accurate project estimates, whilst ensuring to offer customers the best solution for their requirements, and consistently identifying development opportunities and lead generation.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of the business and participate in a variety of challenging projects. Based in the Stoke on Trent office, the role will involve travel across the UK to attend site visits.

What we need from you?
- Setting up estimates, tender packs, and applicable trackers.
- Management of estimating new and ongoing projects.
- Communicating with suppliers and clients.
- Preparing take-offs for LV/MV cabling and containment systems from drawings.
- Inputting take-offs and quotations to relevant estimate formats.
- Form strong relationships with key business stakeholders, including working closely with Contracts Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and the Design department.
- Producing bills of quantities, schedules of work, and contractors' proposal documents to support bids.
- Assist in the handing over of work to other teams.
- Business development through new and existing relationships.
What you need to succeed?
- Previous experience in electrical engineering or electrical installation across commercial, industrial and domestic projects.
- Possess excellent experience in a similar estimating role.
- Ideally you will have experience using Trimble or a similar estimating/design software.
- Proven ability to calculate parts, labour, and project costs accurately and secure new business opportunities.
