My client is seeking a skilled Business Intelligence - Sisense developer to support there expanding reporting needs. The role involves centralising and integrating data across existing platforms into Sisense, the chosen Management Information (MI) tool. This position requires a candidate who can work independently, handle large datasets and collaborate effectively with internal teams and third-party consultants.

Core Duties:

  • Dashboard Development: Design, develop and maintain interactive and visually appealing dashboards using Sisense to display business insights and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources, such as databases, APIs and third-party applications, into the Sisense environment for analysis and reporting.
  • Data Modeling: Create and manage data models within Sisense, including the design of cubes, schemas and relationships to optimise data retrieval and reporting performance.
  • ETL Process Management: Develop, implement and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure accurate and timely data flow into the Sisense environment.
  • SQL Query Writing: Write, optimise and troubleshoot complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data for reporting and analytics.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimise Sisense dashboards and data models for performance, ensuring quick response times and efficient data processing.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with business users, data analysts and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
  • User Training and Support: Provide training and ongoing support to end-users on how to use Sisense dashboards and reports effectively.
  • Security and Access Management: Implement and manage security protocols within Sisense, ensuring that data access is appropriately controlled and complies with organisational policies.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of BI solutions, including data models, dashboards, ETL processes and best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest Sisense features and BI trends and implement improvements to existing solutions based on new capabilities or business needs.
  • Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify and resolve issues related to data accuracy, dashboard performance and system errors within Sisense.
  • Version Control and Deployment: Manage version control of Sisense solutions and handle deployment of new features or updates in a controlled manner.

Key Skills and Capabilities:

  • SiSense Expertise
  • SQL Proficiency: Transact SQL and SQL Server
  • Experience with Segregated Data Sets
  • Handling Large, Sensitive Data Sets: Particularly those containing personally identifiable information
  • Data Integration: Experience in pulling and combining data from multiple data sources
  • Strong Understanding of GDPR Compliance
  • Agile Methodology Experience
  • STEM Qualifications: In computer science, data science, or a related field
