A leading organisation is seeking a meticulous and skilled Tool Room Technician to uphold the integrity of their toolroom operations, ensuring the highest standards of maintenance, repair, and inventory management.

As a Tool Room Technician, you will play a crucial role in sustaining the company's commitment to quality and efficiency. Your responsibilities will encompass the meticulous upkeep of tooling maintenance schedules, preparation of tooling parts for mold repairs, and the pursuit of a budget cavitation target of 98%. Your expertise will ensure that all toolroom equipment is maintained to the highest order, with maintenance schedules meticulously adhered to.

Your analytical skills will be put to use as you maintain accurate mold history records, crafting insightful reports that inform toolroom and process managers of mold conditions and contribute to the enhancement of life cycle plans. A keen eye for detail will be essential in managing the tooling spare parts inventory, ensuring budgetary discipline and stock reduction.

Your commitment to excellence will be evident in your adherence to company standards and housekeeping procedures. Collaborative problem-solving and quality improvements will be part of your daily routine, fostering a harmonious working environment within the toolroom and with external teams.

Health and safety are paramount, and you will be entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining a safe workspace in the toolroom and tool storage areas, ensuring all documentation and records are impeccably managed.

Beyond these core duties, you will be instrumental in team development, training, and contributing to R&D projects and New Product Development (NPD). Your technical acumen will be showcased as you set and load mold tools and dies, repair and modify them, and troubleshoot with finesse.

The ideal candidate will possess relevant qualifications in tool making, hands-on experience with injection mold machine tools, and an eagerness to embrace modern manufacturing practices. A multi-skilled approach, team commitment, and health & safety awareness are essential. Proficiency in computer use, drawing interpretation, and report writing, coupled with a mechanical aptitude, will set you apart.
