Role -

Duty Manager

Main Purpose of the Job:

Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will be accountable for managing the Heathrow Workshop

operations to deliver outstanding levels of customer service, whilst maintaining the highest quality and safety

standards. Empowered to make decisions, you will pro-actively drive productivity and efficient use of resources

to deliver a safe, punctual and cost efficient operation ensuring contractual, commercial and financial

obligations are achieved. The safety and wellbeing of all colleagues is of paramount importance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

? Ensure all Servicing, repairs, Preventative works and Legal testing are carried out in a safe and efficient

manner and in accordance with HAL regulations.

? Take ownership of the workshop loading plan and job priorities

? Manage and prioritize resources to ensure the right technical expertise is available to meet demand.

? Ensure that jobs are allocated in an organized and effective manor to maintain SLA's and customer

operational requirements.

? Manage SLA's to meet customer requirements and fleet utilization

? Provide full support to all areas of the business as required ie Ramp , Parts Department , Call Centre

? Continually be prepared for Operational Readiness and peak days.

? Ensure that parts requests are managed effectively, costs are confirmed and all ordered parts fitted.

? Ensure Service orders are completed accurately with all required information and photos.

? Provide SAP support to your Team as required.

? Drive productivity and efficiencies using data from SAP.

? Ensure all tooling and equipment is fit for purpose and up to standard

? Take ownership of the vehicle fleet , tools and equipment.

? Ensure the workshop and yard areas are kept clean and tidy at all times and within company Health &

Safety guidelines

? Be accountable for the safety and wellbeing of all staff Airside and Landside.

? Identify Top three safety risks and apply mitigation

? Pro-actively investigate all safety incidents and implement mitigation to prevent re-occurrence.

? Report all accidents , incidents and Near Miss occurrences using the Quentic System and complete

investigations and apply mitigation to prevent re-occurrence

? Attend Monthly Safety Governance Group Meetings and progress agreed safety actions to closure.

? Make sure work completed by Employees, Suppliers or Contractors is carried out in accordance with

the Company's Health & Safety Policy and SSOW's.

? Conduct regular PPE audits and quality assurance checks to ensure excellent safety standards are

maintained at all times.

? Manage mandatory training to ensure compliance is maintained at all times.

? Engage with staff with effective use of staff briefings and Toolbox talks , encourage and support staff

ideas and suggestions

? Effectively manage your Team using company agreed policies for performance , absence , grievance

and disciplinary.

? Manage Pro-time ensuring on-time clocking in and out.

? Complete Personal Development Reviews (PDR) with your team and identify any training, development

or knowledge gaps.

? Manage the training plan for your Team.

? Deliver regular Toolbox Talks to ensure colleagues are informed, engaged, consulted and valued.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

? Customer oriented and service delivery focused

? Good knowledge of health and safety regulations (IOSH/NEBOSH desirable)

? Operational expertise desirable

? Proven experience in a Management or Supervisory capacity and can demonstrate strong people

management skills and the ability to lead a team

? Literate, analytical, numerate

? Good financial understanding and negotiation skills

? Strong communication and presentation skills

? Understanding of workshop procedures and systems

? Good knowledge of I.T systems

? Experience of working in a customer focused pressurized environment
