Job Title: Bookkeeper
Salary: £12.82 - £14.36 per hour
Location: Ware
Contract: Permanent, Part Time
Hours: 2 days per week, 9am-5.30pm
COMPANY PROFILE
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our well-established client, a trusted provider in the professional services industry. They are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to become part of their team! In this role, you will be responsible for accurately recording all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
Your duties will include regularly posting information to accounting journals/software and reconciling accounts to maintain accuracy.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Experience using Xero is essential
- Previous experience in a similar position
- Good communication skills
- Highly organised and good attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Excel
- Attentive and polite manner
- Ability to work well on your own initiative
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing expenses and bank reconciliations
- Handling petty cash
- Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software
- Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements
- Update and maintain the general ledger
- Managing general office duties and supplies
- Handling the telephone system
- Greeting and supporting visitors
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Annual leave increases by 1 days per year of service, maximum 25 days)
