We are working in partnership with an Ofsted 'Good' Secondary school in Walsall who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join their team in September. This is a part-time (3 days a week) and long-term role for the autumn term with the potential of going permanent in January for the right person. Due to this being a long-term role, full teaching responsibilities will be required, including planning and marking. You must be a qualified teacher (ECTs are welcome to apply) and have recent experience teaching Science to Key Stage 4.
Job Description:
- Delivering engaging and creative Science lessons to students in Key Stages 4.
- Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
- Contributing to the development of the department's curriculum.
- Participating in extracurricular activities such as sports clubs and school trips.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT's welcome to apply.
- Bachelor's degree in Science or related field.
- Recent experience teaching Science at secondary school level.
- Strong behaviour/classroom management.
- The ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members.
